  • QuestionHow is this used along with the wi-fi streaming capability ? Does it interfere? How do you switch back & forth. Very new to this.

    Asked by sketchy.

    • Answer Hi Sketchy! The Insignia Amplified Ultra-Thin Indoor HDTV Antenna is used to receive over-the-air broadcast signals from local TV stations, allowing you to watch free HD channels without needing a cable or satellite subscription. It does not interfere with Wi-Fi streaming capabilities, as they operate on different frequencies. To switch back and forth between using the antenna and Wi-Fi streaming, you simply need to connect the antenna to your TV's antenna input and switch the TV's input source to the antenna. When you want to switch back to streaming, you just switch the input source on your TV to the appropriate HDMI port or smart TV app where you are streaming from. If you are new to using an antenna, it may take some trial and error to position it correctly to receive the best signal. You can try placing the antenna near a window and facing it towards the direction of the broadcast towers for optimal reception. If you are having trouble getting a good signal, you may need to move the antenna or adjust its position until you find the best reception. • QuestionJust want to know what channels do you get And how many

    Asked by Scott.

    • Answer You’ll have to verify your address on this website to see your channel line up in your area being broadcasted. https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps More accurate website with more detail. https://otadtv.com/tvtower/index.html Anything between -5 dBm to -45 dBm. Under the home signal strength. Should be accessible. The names of the channel aren’t accurate though. I wouldn’t look at weak signals, you’d need a weird pointy elevated antenna for those channels above -55dBm. Anything above -70dBm will be near impossible as -80dBm is the sound floor.

  • QuestionJust purchased today an RCA antenna . TC states no signal? Its plug in along with the tc and attached to theTV Cable connection

    Asked by Anthony.

    • Answer Hi Anthony, • Make sure that you have selected the correct input on your TV. • Make sure that all your connections are correct and secure. • Move your antenna, then rescan for available channels on your TV or set-top box. • Make sure that you are connected to a TV or set-top box with an ATSC tuner. If you do not have either of those, you will need to purchase a digital converter box. If the troubleshooting steps above won't work, please feel free to contact us via email or phone. • QuestionI want to use this with my new Insignia TV. But the antenna has a USB plug and the TV has an HDMI port. Why wouldn't they make them the same type of connection if they're the same brand? I'm frustrated trying to find an antenna for my TV.

    Asked by dogmommy.

    • Answer If you are trying to connect the Insignia™ Amplified Ultra-Thin Indoor HDTV Antenna to your television, first connect the USB power cord to the adapter and then plug it into a power outlet. Next, connect the coaxial cable to the coaxial input on the back of the television. After completing these steps, scan for channels on your television so it can find the available channels.
