No this is bi directional. For example Omni is front, back, left, right, up, down. The flat panel is front and back. It’s possible to change its angle to change its plane of reference so it could do left (west), right (east), front (north), back (south) by adjusting its degrees from north. For example it stands like a box of cereal from its O ring base that has 2 clips to hold it upright. You can move the face of the cereal box North/east so its focus is greatest for north/east and south/west. To be honest it will seem omnidirectional if the signal is greater then -30 dBm. Your Tv will say signal strength is medium or greater. Only when the signal is low would the direction really affect picture.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, worksno matter what direction you place it. For best reception move it around to get the best reception, try to get it outside. I have mine on the edge of the roof and get over 40 channels with it.
