It's RCA to HDMI out. But you dont have to plug the audio wires into this adapter. You can plug the audio wires into anything. Red and white. I plugged them into a little RCA to AUX and worked perfectly on 2 different speakers. So if you are going RCA to RCA on the sound bar it should work as well. And if you're plugging everything into the adapter straight to the TV, as long as the TV has audio out to your sound bar it will work 100%. But for video you need to connect the yellow RCA to HDMI converter. So, we've got N64 and Wii on our flat screen with surround sound.
