Please try again later.Since this converter only works in one direction, I'm assuming that you have it set up to take composite video and audio out from your Magnavox DVR and are trying to send the converted signal to your smart TV via HDMI. It is possible that your DVR will not send a signal out the composite video output if the DVR is set to Progressive Scan. See if there is a way to turn off Progressive Scan in your DVR settings and try again. If you are able to turn off progressive scan the DVR should be able to send out a 480i (Interlaced) signal via composite video - this, of course, is not Hi-Definition so don't expect a great picture.
