“I have received two e-mails that said my question was answered, I can't find the answer..My TV has audio out using red/white RCA plugs. My new soundbar has audio in using HDMI e-arc. This converter does not work. Is it because of the lack of e-arc?”

You might have to use all three rca wires for it to work red/white/yellow. If possible use the tv optical output to the soundbar.
