That is a very good question. But I bet money, that if you took that question in to Best Buy, they would probably allow you to purchase the item with an agreement that if the converter you try out does not work, then you would be refunded your money, or another option to get what you want, would be offered to you. Or, call out a Geek Squad tech to come out and help you fix the problem right there is the comfort of your own home.
