“When connected, to my Toshiba VCR and Samsung 32in. HDMI TV, I get audio only but NO video. I've re-checked the connections and tried replacement RCA & HDMI cables but still have the same issue. What could be causing this?”

You could try to use a TV with AV input (red, white and yellow).
