It does not plug into anything, it simply mirrors a signal using a IR receiver and a IR transmitter.

It is not plugged in to the amplifier. It has a sticky adhesive on the back of the eye, and you place it near the receivers I. It’s simply passes the same remote signal that the receiver receives

It does not control amplifier volume. Best Buy sells a Bluetooth controller that does what you're talking about. It plugs in to the little audio out plug on the amplifier.

It's plugged in to the wall :) Then, there are 4 pieces with a little thingy that catches the signal from my DVR/cable box (you put the little receiver by the eye) and the same for my TV.
