• A:Answer The extender has only one receiver and transmits the signal from the remote you are pointing at it to all devices at the same time. This is not a problem because each device’s IR signals are proprietary. The Uverse remote should turn on only the DVR unless you have set up a macro that turns on multiple devices with a single button.
