- Answer I don’t think so. My experience is that you need direct line of sight. About 25’ for me and it works well as long as I aim my remotes at the receiver.

QuestionBoth my Xfinity cable box and AV receiver are in another room. I can control the cable box through the wall but I have to point the remote control to the receiver. Would this extender work with the Xfinity remote control for the AV receiver?

- Answer No, this device requires you to point the remote at the receiver end of the device. It then runs the signal down a small wire that repeats the signal to your receiver.
