write function is it possibly to write as well? or is it read only? is there anyway I can use this product to write onto the micro sd? perhaps via some software program? please let me know if its even possible

I just tested it by copying a picture from my desk-top computer - yes it is possible to write to the card.

You can write to the reader just like any memory card reader. I was able to read and write.

Yes, you can both read and write to add and microSD cards with this device. When you plug this reader into your computer with a card inserted, it will show up as a new drive on your computer. Move files to and from this device the same way you would move files from one folder to another.

Yep we write to ours daily using our iMac at school! As for software needed we have no problem using the Finder and Windows Explorer should get the job done too.
