Can I copy to my VBD-MA1 to make a dvd null

It is just a card reader. To do what you are asking. Which I'm sure you should be able to. You must be able to hook the card reader and your DVD drive to the same computer. From that point on, it's in your software as to whether it will transfer it from one media to another.
