• No, nor any timeframe for Amazon Echo or Apple HomeKit. I'd say it's unlikely in this iteration. No hub is needed, this is a standalone device. It's set up the same way as a Chromecast (connect to device's wifi, connect device to your wifi).

• you can set it up, make schedules via the app on your phone, but at this point, that is about all you can do with it.
