Yes it would. I have hard wood floors and it does well with them.

This vacuum works on all types of flooring. We have a combination of wood, carpet, and tiled floors and it goes everywhere when it is operating. This is an amazing Piece of equipment.

Yes it can. I have mine running on laminate flooring. No scratches and cleans great!
