“Will this work with thick shaggy carpet? We have stained concrete floors but the bedrooms and a carpet in the living room are the tall, thick, shag carpets. Also, is this actually powerful like an upright vacuum? I just can’t see it picking up as much”

Not really.. it will get stuck every time
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a thick shag rug near my sofa. it has not been able to make the transition to that rug on its own. I have placed it on that rug and it did vacuum, but it is a bit like trying to keep a baby on a blanket! The robot does not do a "regular pattern" like you might, so it wanders off the rug. I have not tried, yet, setting up the barrier to see if that would help. basically I still vacuum that rug. I have to admit, I am thinking about replacing that rug since it is the only one (and I have several over hardwood) that is an issue.
