“I have a 960 roomba . I have hardwood floors. Will be returning this model due to a broken piece plus it’s been malfunctioning. I’m considering exchanging it for the model i7 and wondered if it’s better than the 960 and how.? Mapping is a must like my 960”

• Hello Bevy, I’m so sorry you’re having issues with your 960, and am happy you’re considering the i7. The i7 does have mapping capabilities similar to the 960, but unlike the 960, after the i7 has mapped your floor plan you can actually choose specific rooms to clean and rooms to exclude from cleaning. You can also schedule cleanings from the iRobot Home App.

• The model i7 has 2x the suction power as the 960 Roomba. The model i7 also does not see the color BLACK as a cliff. It has the same or better Mapping system. It has a smaller waste bin than the 960. which might require more emptying.
