• No, The JCA153g is only capable of outputting an HDMI signal from a device that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode via its USB C port. Unforutnatley it cannot be connected straight to a television/display.

• Someone misinformed u. If u have a smart TV that has a port for an HDMI cable AND u buy an HDMI cable u can use this adapter to put ur phone contents on your TV if u have the newer galaxy phones with the usb-c charge cord. It's not the old square cord connector. It's the oval shaped connector end. All u need is the type of phone w a usb-c charge port on it and HDMI cable for tv. Simple. Google what these look like.

• No, you connect to your phone and use a separate HDMI cable to the TV. My tv doesn't have Type C USB connector like my phone.
