I think a 2ohm 400w mono amp would be perfect and wouldn't blow your speakers. I have an old school punch 500 2 ohm mono and lowered the gain because it was too much for the speakers but they hit hard in a sealed 12 inch box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm running a JL Audio RD500/1 with these. Keep the amp to something between 400 and 500 watts RMS at 2 ohms and you'll be just fine. If you get something that puts out more than 500 watts at 2 ohms then you'll want to keep the gain turned down. And anything less than 300 watts RMS at 2 ohms is underpowering them.
