The Lexus brand of the Toyota family typically has upgraded or amplified audio systems as standard equipment...not all are 'marque" units ( ie: mark levinson). If the original radio made sound prior to removal and the new unit doesn't...you have an amp. Make sure that you have connected the power antenna lines in the adaptor harness. They are typically blue and blue/white in color. These will be connected to the JVC radios signal control wire ( blue/white in many cases). Hope this helps.
