This is one hella of a car receiver. There is a lot of options and the BT works out great. My only gripe is the unstable CarPlay with my IPhone. Not sure if the problem is from the IPhone X, or the receiver. I read some reviews about a similar issue when the system occasionlly shuts down and reboots during CarPlay. This is not an issue playing the radio or BT. I uploaded the new firmware, which was not difficult and hope this resolves the issue. Other then that, it is one great unit.

I've had this product for about 2 months and I have no complaints. It's pretty awesome because it's connected to Sync which comes with my ford car. I get tons of compliments

It was a product that was recommended to me from an audio tech and I had it for maybe 2 1/2 weeks and it started shutting off and restarting while I was driving, playing music or using google maps or even making a call. Then it started to get worst where it would just stay off and give me a msg to pull the car over and turn it on and off. I took it to bestbuy and they told me it might be the firmware that is not compatible with my iPhone XS. So I got a better one. I recommend the alpine ILXF309, if you really want something nice. I love mine!

Do NOT purchase this or have Best Buy install it. The Apple CarPlay does not work... The Bluetooth does not work... it reboots when you get to a certain volume... Tried to bring to Best Buy because they sold this item and the speakers to me and installed. They had to make an appointment 2 weeks out to fix something they apparently did wrong. I should have never purchased a JVC in the first place. It’s now broken because I couldn’t take it anymore. Will be replacing with something from Crutchfield.

I replaced my existing AM/FM/XM Original GM receiver with this unit. I love the dual blue tooth channels and the USB ports for my IPOD. The onscreen controls for changing sources i.e. AM/FM/SIRIUS/IPOD are very intuitive. The sound quality thru my Boise speakers is outstanding. Bluetooth iPhone connection is also outstanding from driver and passenger side front seats.

I've had radio for about 2 months. The installation was easy. The large makes it easy to see. The sound quality is very good and CarPlay works great. The main reason for purchase was navigation and hands free talking. Radio has exceeded my expectations.

Picked up this stereo on Black Friday for $310 (regular price of $599) for my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. It was a big upgrade from the factory stereo. 1 - Easy to use. Even my tech unsavvy wife was able to use it with no tutorial 2 - I read 1 review said that the screen was not bright enough, hard to see when the sun hit it. I have not had that issue. 3 - Works great w/my iPhone. 4 - Some people feel not having the USB on the face of the stereo as a draw back. I like that is not on the face because I'm so clumsy I would bump in to it & break it off. 5 - The only time I have touch screen lag is when I go to my phone contacts. Which i think is due to the number of contacts on my phone. I am very happy with the stereo.

Apple car play makes texting safe keeps your attention on the road with verbal text reading and replying! Hands free calling screen looks like I phone when using Apple CarPlay. Only disappointment is no apps for Netflix or Hulu or way to screen monitor from my I phone! Apple maps music and Waze apps are helpful! Great sound and equalizer! Touch screen but I wanted a remote also and had to order it separately as it is not included, but it is inexpensive to purchase elsewhere. I haven’t purchased the backup camera yet but will add one soon. Overall nice product and It does more than I’m currently using it for!

One of the best units I've owned... And I've owned a few. I love the interface. It connected easily to my Android phone through Android auto. The apps are great. Do a google search for android auto apps and you will find quite a few that will cover almost everything you'd want. From Pandora to Podcasts everything you need is right there. I love that it uses Waze or Google maps. So far both have been accurate and better than my Garman. It remembers your daily trip so when I pull up maps on my commute to work, it tells me traffic patterns for the day, Can't say enough good about it!

I was excited that I could find a stereo that had mostly digital controls with few buttons, so that I wouldn’t have to worry about them being hard to push or any dials to turn after the radio was installed. This was perfect for just that reason. It boots up quick, and Apple carplay works flawlessly. The Geek-Squad did an extraordinary job on installing the radio. You wouldn’t know it was aftermarket judging by the looks of it. The only bad thing I can say about this product is that sometimes it loses power entirely when the car is off, causing me to have to reset the time when I turn the car on. This is uncommon, but it is still an inconvenience worth noting.

I purchased this head unit mainly for the Apple CarPlay feature, which I now enjoy daily. I also like that the display takes up a majority of the space and there are very few physical buttons compared to some of the other head units. Apple CarPlay can be buggy, though from reading various forums online it seems to be more of an issue with the Apple CarPlay software, not necessarily with this head unit. Upgrading the head unit’s firmware from JVC’s website, as well as updating the iPhone’s software, helped resolve some issues. Now when Apple CarPlay does occasionally freeze, I simply unplug the USB cable and then plug it back in to get thins working again. The included microphone provides clear hands-free calling and Siri interaction.

Looked at many different systems, liked the Apple/Android compatibility. Easy to use, lots of features for the money.

I simply love my new JVC system. Now I can make calls hands free, listen to my favorite book, get directions or jam to my favorite tunes. With the mic on my steering panel my family and friends hear me clearly, which was a major problem before this JVC install. I couldn’t be happier.

Overall great product, especially for the price! I read a lot of reviews of different products and for the price (on sale for $380) it was definitely worth it and worthy of 5 stars. I wouldn't have purchased it for a higher price. That said a few things to keep in mind.. CarPlay only works if it's plugged in not over Bluetooth. But you can use bloothtooth through normal JVC. The buttons to change the volume are terrible, super small and in the top and awkward to push so it's really inconvenient. The touchscreen is nice and very responsive. It looks super clean in my truck and the size is good. I haven't used the DVD player or anything but overall I would say it does its job and for the price I got it at Best Buy it was more than worth it. I'm sure there are better systems out there but for the price I don't think anything could beat it. I searched for months to find one at a good deal and happy with my purchase, glad I stayed patient.

Only time will tell how good this radio does, but it's a tremendous upgrade from any factory radio! Android auto and Apple carplay make this a very universal receiver. Looks OEM and it's much nicer looking than my 2015 Jeep Patriot factory radio. Highly recommend, especially for the price!

I bought this for my wife's Subaru Legacy for her birthday because she missed and wanted SiriusXM back very badly (used to have it in her old car). I found a great deal on it with over $200 off. I had BB install it and they did a fantastic clean install of it and it looks and plays great. Took minutes to transfer her old subscription over and she was up very quickly. It works and sounds great ( I joked and told her she should upgrade her factory speakers now!). I wish it was a little bit easiser to change the channels and control the volume but it just gets a little used to. Its a great radio!
