“This is compatible with my 2012 Honda Odyssey which has a rear dvd system, will the dvd player play on the radio screen or in the rear system or both? Also if I get this installed at a Best Buy will they have the retrofit kit so it looks seamless?”

It should be on the rear so as to not distract the driver. To be sure you should go the the store where it will be installed and ask the installer.
