Hi I purchased the radio because my factory installed one stopped working on my 08 Highlander . The Apple car play works if the phone is connected to a cable that’s in the glovebox. It also charges the phone while connected. I don’t use it often because it lowers the music volume when messages come in. when I connect my music by Bluetooth it also sounds a little lower. I looking for something simple to use and this one has the option to use it for back up camera the display is a great upgrade at an affordable price
