You need to install this mount into a wood stud or concrete. The lag bolts we supply need to grip into the wood at least two inches for them to support a TV. If the wood behind in your bookcase is thinner than that then you'd have to determine a different way of installing the M300. You can ignore the previous community answer, curved TV's do not mount much differently than their flat counterparts. Our M300 will work for curved TV's, the only difference is you may have to use the longest bolts we provide with some spacers.
