“Best Buy says that this will not fit my 2014 Mercedes Sprinter Van but Crutchfield sells an installation kit and says it will fit. If I buy the stereo from BB and the installation kit elsewhere will BB install it?”

It will fit but you’ll need to purchase the appropriate dash kit for your van (and possibly a vehicle specific wire harness). I would recommend watching an install video or two on YouTube. I installed this unit in my RV without any car audio install experience and it took me about an hour. Very glad I watched the videos first tho because it saved me from making mistakes that would cost TONS of time and trouble shooting.

I’m better off asking my front door) 2) there’s sometimes one person at any store in every state I’ve been to that knows anything at all about stereos and doesn’t respond only with “what’s the internet say?” I haven’t been fortunate enough to actually be there when the ONE, SINGLE employee happens to be there, if there even is one. Also, watch what you’re buying. My open box stereo in “Good Condition” has me very concerned. When I got home from picking it up OUT OF STATE (after driving back home from there the day prior bc the store couldn’t physically look to find it and “the computer says” they don’t have one, so I drove back down the next day, OUT OF STATE… ) the stereo itself had a sticker on it stating “old shelf display that is not able to reset demo” and was (I’m assuming) supposed to be serviced, judging from the service sticker. The pic is what came with it, also. Not a manual or anything. Just a bunch of random wires everywhere with a GOOD CONDITION sticker saying it is most likely non functional. Yay me! (Gagging) Moral of the story…. IF you are willing to buy from Best Buy, either buy new, know somebody, or SHOP ANYWHERE ELSE. NOT WORTH THE HASSLE. I will NEVER do this again.

Please try again later.Based on my experience although I am still waiting on an install date in April they said they would install the trim kit, radio antenna and radio interface that I purchased elsewhere with the radio purchased through Best Buy. I also purchased a Best Buy protection plan for any installation or geek squad appt or house call that might cover any item purchased outside of Best Buy. Check with them about this plan, it might be worth it to you. Good luck
