QuestionI have downloaded the map update to an sd card but it won't replace what's in the unit. It stays on the sd card. If I remove the sd card it lists the maps as the original 2016 maps. If I leave it in, it will list the updated map.

- Answer You will need to use a harness made by idatalink or metra, or pac. There may be other brands out there. You may have to program it . You will need this for onstar

- Answer I have never installed or updated maps for Garmin, but there is a smart card slot in front of radio. You download maps to smart card front internet and then put it into radio. Sounds simple. Might try over the holidays
