It does require an installation kit for make, year and model of vehicle you have. The kit can be purchased from Best Buy or through third party online. With the Maestro box (recommended) you also have a function screen for your climate control, tire air pressure, and multiple vehicle functions such as turbo boost pressure, which are user selectable.

If you don’t know what are you looking for then go to the store and talk the guy that have a small desk near where the laptops are located. That person should be able to help you. Kits varies depending on the make and model of your vehicle.
