Will this work in a boat null

As long as its somewhere dry don't see why not, all you need is power and ground then just tap into the speaker wires. I tied both positive leads to the left positive and both negative wires to the left negative on the same speaker less wires to run sounds great.

Yes, If you are running a 12V system. But, the component is not waterproof.
