AMD processors are well respected in the computing industry. Be sure you choose a processor based system that can perform the work you intend to use the computer for. For instance, the configuration of this system is a light use to mid-range computer. This computer is not meant for heavy use, multi-task type of work. If you have multiple programs/windows open at the same time, all day long, this computer will not meet your computing needs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very slow processor
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Definitely not worth it. Mine died after 1.5 years of sitting in a closet. It was so slow that it was unusable, then bit the dust.

I have deployed about 7 of these machines with no hardware failures yet. It is possible these problems could crop up, but so far it's looking good. On the factory configuration, I would expect the hard drive to die in about 3-4 years of use. The wdidle3 utility can be used to turn off the head parking feature and extend the hard drive life, or you can use the hdparm utility in linux to do the same thing (easier, actually, as you don't have to get a working DOS environment to run wdidle3). This is due to the default configuration of the hard drive itself, and this same problem can occur with this hard drive on any system. If the hard drive isn't running most of the time (system off or asleep), it should last a long while anyway.
