Bought it for just over $200. I'll cut to the chase. Processor speeds, RAM, HD space, whether a laptop is good for gaming, downloading large files, viewing things like TV shows online: If you are a gamer or huge online streamer I have no idea if this laptop is for you but I'd guess that if that's your criteria, it's going to cost you more than a little over $200. Processor speeds: It's been mentioned the AMD A6 processor and limited RAM makes this laptop 'slow.' Slow is a state of mind. If fractions of a second processor-wise is an issue, again, you may be out of your price point. I use this laptop for online surfing/email, microsoft office including ppt/spreadsheet, viewing TV shows online, storing/organizing photos and utilizing the DVD drive. I do not use it for any gaming of any type. So for me it works fine...with a good wifi connection, everything, including watching shows online, show no lag. I've watched DVDs; no problem. The actual HD is 500 GBs; again, HD size is a state of mind. I can deal with 500 gb. And I can also transfer things to somewhere outside this HD if space becomes an issue. For many average laptop users, as a personal laptop, I would recommend it even if only based on the performance vs. price. But it's got a few things I'mm not happy with. There's 2 standard USB ports. I knew that going in; the number of ports isn't the issue. But they're right next to each other, and very close to each other. Right now I have a very narrow logitech plug in in one of the ports for my wireless mouse. And yet if I simply try to insert a standard Sandisk thumbdrive next to it, they both don't fit; too wide. So it's really silly to me that whenever I want to insert anything except a micro thumbdrive into my laptop, I have to remove my wireless mouse. And even then, I can't, for example, insert 2 of my Sandisk thumbdrives at the same time, even when I've removed my wireless mouse. My other major complaint: The Enter and Shift buttons on the RH side of the keyboard. Most standard keyboards have some variation of the Enter button on the ASDF keyboard line RH side and the Shift button on the line below, on the RH side. The Shift button is often 'longer' than the Enter button so that when a right handed person is typing and has to capitalize every sentence the Shift button is easily accessed via your RH pinkie, mostly because the Shift button sticks right out below your pinkie. On this keyboard the RH Shift button is less than half the length of standard keyboards. So it's a pain to type because so often you think you're hitting the Shift key but you hit the Enter key instead and the cursor leaves you.... And I know the Shift and Enter key locations may seem trivial but they are not, especially to 'larger fingered' people such as myself and people who type via the standard asdf/jkl; method. I've enclosed pics of a 'standard' keyboard and this reviewed one so you can see what I'm talking about.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. With regard to the USB ports, you may want to consider using a USB hub to have better spacing and more available USB ports to use at any one time. With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP. lenovo

First off the computer is really nice in terms of looking feel and it definitely has the screen you need if you’re into gaming or watching movies so that’s a definite plus I also got the geek squad protection as well as I have a free micro trend Internet security that came with it which was a wonderful adult all in all I’d say this computer so far performed a great and I have to see as I go on if it lasts or if it’s a replacement after a few years

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15 laptop. This system should good speed with its AMD A6 processor and 4GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Concerning the screen brightness, be sure you have "auto brightness" turned off in display settings and your screen brightness is set to 100%. lenovo

Well what can I say about the Lenovo laptop It worked nicely was very agile, buy only on the first day before it became unresponsive and would suddenly crash guess the AMD chipset was either defective or their no good at all so I went and got a replacement a much better laptop by far

This sounds like there was a software issue. A recent Windows 10 Update may be the cause. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. You can also run diagnostics from the Lenovo site as well. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Here is the link:

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Ideapad 110-15 laptop. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. So far, so good. I'm still setting up email and so forth. I no longer review large documents or spreadsheets, nor do I 'game'. For what I need it's fine..roadtrips - downloading pics and vids from said roadtrips, plus the occasional web search while car camping at national/state parks across the country. 1320 screen is fine, but the sound is terrible - there really isn't any. One can not hear anything unless everything around is off and quiet. I may get a USB powered speaker of some sort. The 4GB memory has, so far, not been an issue and I doubt I will ever load 500GB of files on the drive; I'll download and edit vids/pics on the desktop when I return home. For what I paid, $209 on sale, I'm good with it.

This is my first Lenovo laptop. I saw many reviews with complaints about the RH shift key being next to the "up" arrow and smaller in size. First off, I hardly use the RH shift key (just what I have grown accustomed to) so this doesn't apply to me. The few times I have used it, it took me just a split second to glance at the keyboard to make sure I was hitting it-no big deal. I also read reviews that said the computer was very slow. I have to disagree. The computer is plenty fast for what I use it for, and was actually quite surprised by the speed. Is it as fast as an i7 processor? Absolutely not, but it is good for what it is. I chose this laptop because I didn't have the money in my account to buy a $500+ laptop and needed one ASAP to replace my i3 that died on my after 6 years of hard use. I have had this laptop for a few weeks now and use it for my business. I do a lot of emailing, basic social media marketing ad designing, online shopping, Facebooking, messaging, organizing meetings with clients, PayPal, etc.and am typically on my computer for 2-5 hours/day. If you need a solid, basic computer, this is a great one. If you need one to do webpage designing, extensive social media ad creating/marketing, lots of video downloading, gaming, etc., go for a $500+ laptop. My wife has an HP with an i7 and a 12GB Ram, and quite honestly, I love how sleek and lightweight the Lenovo is and how comfortable the keyboard is (for me) over my wife's HP. I also love that the screen opens up to 180 degrees so I can sit in bed and type with my laptop propped up on my knees, while still being able to see the screen. My wife likes the Lenovo too! Hope this helps someone with questions!

Got this to replace my dad's old failing ACER laptop (the screen died). He just uses a laptop for email, web surfing and a few basic application programs (word processing and spreadsheets). He doesn't play games or does photo/video processing, he just needed a good reliable basic laptop. This has enough features for his needs and he is very happy with the overall performance. The hard drive has plenty of space for his files and as an added bonus, this laptop comes with a built-in DVD-RW drive so that eventually my dad can burn his own DVD's (right now he's just using the drive to watch his DVD movies). Excellent deal for the price and the 15.6 inch screen is nice and clear.

I picked this up for $179 - at that price, the size, feel and screen are sufficient. However, this laptop is slow - like turning it on and it takes a good 45 seconds for it to respond to pressing the start button and typing in queries. I think these problems can be resolved with a memory upgrade, but since it's a single DDR3 SO-DIMM slot - I'll need to replace the 4GB chip for an 8GB module, which is kind of pricey these days.

For $200, a bluetooth, 500 GB storage, 4 GB of RAM laptop was all I needed, and I am satisfied with this laptop. If this is over $250 though, look elsewhere. Perhaps invest a bit more for a laptop with more GB of RAM, because that is perhaps the single most important specification of a laptop, especially over time. The only flaw worth noting is that for those who like to use the right shift key, sorry... the right shift key is small to accommodate for full size directional buttons. This isn't the single worst thing ever, but it took a decent adjustment for me to get used to it. Even after a year of owning this thing I sometimes mess up and press the up button instead of the right shift button. A very small annoyance, but unfortunately a fairly common one. For those who use left shift though, enjoy the full size directional buttons.
