“Where can I get the memory upgraded?? I purchased this laptop from bestbuy and was told they would do the upgrade for me. However, after purchasing they are now saying that they can't do the upgrade due to some security thing on the inside.”

Go to Lenovo's website and download the service manual. I've upgraded the memory and replaced the hard disk with an SSD myself. I didn't see anything in the service manual about voiding the warranty or any security thing in reference to the memory. One of the hard disk screws has a security sticker which I had to break to install my new SSD, thus voiding the warranty. For a $300 laptop, I'm not going to worry about the warranty. (I planned on upgrading the laptop when I bought it so I didn't bother with any if the extended warrantys.)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The maximum RAM for this system is 16GB. A certified technician must do the work so as to not void the warranty. Geek Squad technicians at Best Buy should be able to do this work.
