Both brands are very comparable if we just consider all models overall. They both have good high-end systems and some mediocre cheap systems. Generally you have to compare model by model these days, because the parts from all the brands come from the same good and bad factories. I have a personal preference toward Lenovo, but that is residual from the time when they were the consumer arm of IBM (and Dells were awful at that time). These days it's all oranges to oranges unless it's an Apple, in which case it's a really nice orange with Apple skin.

There are many different versions of the Intel Core I-3 processor. The AMD Ryzen 5 1400 processor within this model is a 4-core/8-thread processor. It has a base speed of 3.2GHz and a boost speed of up to 3.4GHz. The Intel Core I-3 Family of processors does not have a "boost" speed similar to this AMD Ryzen 5 1400 processor.
