• You can do that and it will run but it's always better to have matching brands and capacities with RAM. You can upgrade this laptop up to 32GB

• Work on this system should only be done by a Certified Technician, otherwise the warranty could be voided. The maximum RAM capability of this system is 16GB in 2 slots. They must match.
