Is the battery a removal one? null

The battery in this system is considered a "Field Replaceable Unit". It can be replaced by a certified technician without voiding the warranty. Any work done on this system by anyone other than a certified technician could void the warranty.

Technically yes, but it's not a quick swap if that is what you are looking for. You have to remove the bottom panel (required to access ram & hard drive as well). The battery is attached with more screws. Pretty sure the battery is proprietary. Doing this will of course void your warranty. So if you want a removable battery to swap out on the fly when current one dies, you will not find it with this laptop.
