“Power of the m.2 slot? Is the m.2 slot a first generation type or a second. I am asking this because I am looking at putting an m.2 that does 2.5 gigabyte per second data transfer and if the m.2 slot on this laptop is the first generation, then It could only handle half of that. Thank you”

I am running a Samsung 950 pro but only at like 1.5 gb/ps speeds. I am simply not knowledgeable to be able to get the extra speeds. How ever It is a m.2 port running with 4 lanes. SO technically I believe it should be capable of performing at those speeds.
