“My HDMI ARC cable (connected from LG OLED TV to LG SJ9 Soundbar) does not work. Is it because I also have the optical audio cable plugged into the TV? I don't want to unplug the optical from the wall mounted TV unless it will activate the HDMI ARC.”

• I did this exact same thing. First off you do not need the optical cable. I used a chocolate HDMI cable and make sure it’s in HDMI 2 (ARC) then into the sound bar. Turn your sound bar function to HDMI TV ARC and you should be good to go!

• I ran into the same problem. You have to turn on Simlink (CEC). Press settings -> select the ellipses -> sound -> output -> you'll see the option after selecting optical/hdmi arc
