Salesman showed me a few sound bars that I asked about and then showed me this one. I'm so glad he did. Hearing it once I heard it I was sold. Amazing sound, clarity, and bass. If you can afford this it won't disappoint. Worth it.

Works great for me. Just what I was looking for. I spent like 2 hours looking at the rest of sounds bars at the store but at the end I decided to go for the lg sound bar because I have an lg tv too. Best purchase I ever made. Now I can watch movies like at the movie theater and even listen to my music

My nephew picked this out for us. I have to say for a 10 year old he has a great ear. In the store he said "Uncle Rob, I feel it in my chest" so you can imagine to sound quality in a smaller space. We had Best Buy's installation team mount it on the wall under our OLED... TOGETHER, they have dressed up our TV room.... from war movies to music this is a must have for your home.

Very nice addition to 4k TV. Quality sound. Very easy to set up using LG video on YouTube.

This review is actually a combination of review between TV SJ9500 and Soundbar SJ9. Overall I'm very satisfied of this product an I definitely recommend it when purchased in combo with an LG TV due to the promotion on-going at Best Buy. The sound is well balanced, good bass and clear voices. There are few presets for MOVIE/MUSIC and some others, however I always find myself to prefer the default. The Soundbar is sleek and very nice to look. I personally find the look and feel at very high level and its shape fits very well my living room. This new LG SJ9500 spot an amazing 10bit display with brilliant colors (8 bit full Chroma 4:4:4 or 10bit 4:2:2 or even 12bit 4:2:0) and pretty decent luminosity. While it is ideal for living area is not quite decent for dark room/media room since the light bleeding can be very annoying, reason for not giving full 5 starts. Overall I'm very very pleased of this TV, I really enjoy the HDR and Dolby Vision movies on Netflix, Vudu and Amazon. I did pair it with the LG SJ9 and I should say it was a great buy due to the promotion on-going I saved 300$ on the SJ9 and I could not be happier with the ratio quality per bucks. The SJ9 supports Dolby ATMOS, however only VUDU is capable to bitstream the ATMSO to the soundbar at this moment. Netflix does not support it! So disappointed! I spent quite some time with Netflix support and they insisted that the TV must support ATMOS to be able to bitstream the audio to another device, which does not make sense for me. I pointed out that Vudu does that, but seems they did not care much.

The setup for the soundbar is very easy to setup with my LG TV. The sound bar also looks good and is not to large. Switching between the sound inputs is very easy and clear to do. The Soundbar has a nice LCD on the front that lets you see what is going on. The Wireless Sub woofer was also easy to setup with the system. Overall it has a nice sound. You can position the Sub woofer anyplace you like to help with the sound experience. Overall I would say that I have heard better sound systems, but the better systems were about 2 times as much money. I am happy with the purchase.

Not everyone has the type of room or house where you can set up a full array of surround sound speakers and if this is a position you are in this soundbar is a must. I did a lot of research on soundbars and specifically Atmos soundbars. Sony is way too expensive for my budget as well as Yamaha and they don't have a sub. Samsung was of interest until found out you cannot use Atmos with just the ARC connection. LG was by far the best choice and I cannot be happier. Took minutes to set up and have been impressed ever since. For everyday use it is fantastic. Dialog is clear and sharp and sound is wonderful. Atmos is amazing. Again I know it is not the same as a full surround system but for my needs it is perfect. Watched Wonderwoman in Dolby Atmos and it took watching movies in my house to a whole other level. If a soundbar is the only way you can go I do not think you can go wrong with the LG SJ9.

I been looking and listening at this soundbar at Best Buy for months, found one as a open box for half the price, so far everything is working fine, sounds great, very loud and nice bass, looking for a second one in a open box deal for a second room. Only four stars because original price to high, LG need to bring it the price down!

Got this to go with my LG Oled C7 tv and so glad I did. Looked at many soundbars at same price range, but they did not come with subwoofer. This is a complete package and sounds great. Had an old Bose 3-2-1 system and this blows it away. If want to listen to music, I play songs off my phone through this. Set up is a breeze. Great purchase.

It’s a decent sound bar. Definitely not worth the money but repacking it is a nightmare and just gonna stick with it for now. Atmos seems like a good feature but haven’t noticed anything special about it. Plus atmos supported content is so scarce that you have better odds of winning the lotto. Overall the sound is very nice and clean. Not as good as Bose but def better then Sonos.

I bought this to pair with a 75 inch 900 series Sony tv. The soundbar is sleek looking and easy to set up. The sound produced is very nice with clear voices and not overly annoying base during action scenes. That was my main issue with my previous soundbar. The atmos feature is ok but not overly impressive. I have a true atmos system in my theater and this item doesnt come close. I guess that's not a fair comparison though. My only complaint is although it's a good looking soundbar, when mounted on a wall it sticks out quite a bit making it somewhat awkward appearing.

Was looking for a new sound bar to replace an existing Sony sound bar I have. Nothing wrong with the old one, just looking for more power and newer features. This is a great sounding sound bar. Does Dolby Atmos and all the standard other options. I am using this with TV as well as Xbox One X. Both work great. Was easy to hook up and works great. I would recommend using the ARC HDMI to connect. I run my Xbox One X into the HDMI input and the TV is connected to the ARC. Simple install, great sound.

I bought this soundbar to go with my LG Oled tv. I have the soundbar hooked up to the tv through an optical cable for just watching tv, sports, cable in general. It is just an ordinary soundbar that way much better than tv speakers however. The sj9 soundbar comes to life with 4k blu rays or 4k content such as Netflix for example. The Dolby atmos comes through and thus not just an ordinary soundbar anymore, which is the main reason I couldnt wait to purchase the sj9. For my 4k blu ray watching experience I have it hooked up through an hdmi and it was an easy setup no issues, bluetooth was just as easy, using the musicflow app is simple to use as well.

I got this for my Rv trailer and it was easy to set up and sounds great, it knows when you are watching tv or a movie, so You don't hear the bass when you're watching tv, you have a small eq you can adjust with the remote so if your movie has to much bass you can adjust it

has been great having this sound bar and bass speakers on my tv and as a bluetooth speaker for my phone and alexa music. great sound and volume, and volume can go very loud with out any sound distortion. its great to have the bass for movies, it really creates depth to the sound.

I have owned many surround systems over the years and I must say I am very impressed with the LG SJ9. I have the soundbar hooked up to my Phillips 4K Player and the Atmos sound on movies is excellent, especially if you consider there are no rear speakers. I was watching the Ultra HD Bluray version of The Fifth Element and I could hear the spaceship flying from the back to the front of the room. And, in War of the Planet of the Apes, I felt as if I was surrounded by falling water during the waterfall scenes. I was concerned about this soundbar because I have tall ceilings, but the immersive Atmos effect still comes thru quite well. I am also impressed with the subwoofer which puts out just the right amount of deep base, without being too overwhelming. Overall, this system is plenty loud and has clear/immersive sound, so I don't think you can go wrong purchasing this item.

Good looking and decent sound with support for Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision and HDR. -Only sound bar in market to support Dolby Vision as of June 2017 -Perfect match for LG OLED TV -Great Looking -Upgraded from Sony HT-ST7 to this new sound bar, and pleased with sound. Only disadvantage is one HDMI Input support. I had to buy 4K HDMI Switch $50+ to add additional HDMI inputs. alternately u can use your TV HDMI inputs

I just moved into a new home and did not want to run wires throughout the house, therefore after much research I decided to purchase this sound bar. I do not regret my decision. Although I know that I could get better sound with a 5.1or 7.1 speaker system, I am awed by the sound through this soundbar. The helicopter attack on the Kong: Skull Island 4K disc sounds like the copters and gunfire are above, around and even behind me. If you shopping for an Atmos soundbar buy this one today.
