I’m on my third HD / Soundbar combo. The sound quality of this bar is the best I’ve experienced to date. Easy to set up as well. Watching a movie at home with this immersive sound is a real treat.

I really like the overall performance of the system..haven't really gotten a chance to test out the Dolby atmos.. but other than that.. sounds good.. Just not worth the price

The soundbar was ridiculously easy for us to set up and start using. It sounds great whether using it for cable, movies or streamed music. We are very pleased with the purchase.

I was shocked that from a LG soundbar, the effect will be phenomenal and for the price (little pricey..) it definitely delivers the sound and really competes with Bose.

Dolby atmos is superb when it comes to high quality sound and quality and the DB9 does not under perform in any manner. Highly recommended for movie theater wanna be quality.

Bought this soundbar to go along w my 55” LG oled in my bedroom. Wow, can’t believe the sound this produces. Very impressive surround sound and bass for such a small package.

I wanted a decent-sounding soundbar + subwoofer system for under $1k (tax included) to work specifically with a LG C7 tv for streaming movies, tv shows, music (Apple 4k tv) and a gaming console (PS4 pro) to provide audio for a 300 sq ft room with a ceiling height of 10 feet. I was not after a "smart" speaker system, rear surround speakers or anything to produce that effect, a "real" Atmos sound effect (for that, we go to the movie theatre), a bass module that produces a real strong bass sound, nor a system that will sound awesome at 100% volume. So this review is only limited to the above parameters. People have different sound preferences. For me, I was not disappointed. At $100 off retail, it was now worth it. I believe they just dropped the price to $850 now. There are tips: - use an appropriate HDMI cable (I got mine from Amazon for less than $8) - place the wireless subwoofer away from your other wifi gadgets. The woofer's audio started to cut in and out every two seconds...it was annoying...but I noticed this only after I positioned the module closer to my other gadgets (wifi router, wifi security camera base). Lo and behold, the interference happens every time I moved the module closer to those two gadgets. I don't hear interference at 3 feet. - you can adjust the sound effect (Movie and Bass Boost are the best) - you can adjust the treble and bass - I said those two points because you cannot play around with those settings when auditioning the bar at a store. Being able to do so makes content sound much better than the "Standard" setting Why 4 stars only? I'll update this review in a few months as there have been a small number of reports of units malfunctioning months after purchase.

Love this soundbar you can everything super clear without turning up to extreme volumes the Dolby atmos in the soundbar is crazy especially in movies two thumbs up!!

I thought that the sound quality on the sound bar was excellent even compared to a surround sound satellite speakers’ set-up. However, LG/Atmos really messed up with an under powered or under utilized subwoofer. If any LG engineer/programmer is reading this not sure if this is something you can improve through a software update. Would love the function of boosting the bass.

I had the sj9 for 1 week the sound bar was good with clear highs and mids but I couldn’t get over the muddy bass from the sub woofer I returned it got the Sonos Playbase and sub what a big difference the Sonos Playbase and sub is with clear volcals and deep room shaking bass the way it’s supposed to sound

I purchased this item and replaced a Bose Cinemate 120 - which has great sound. The sub on the LG unit is pretty weak, but you can bump the bass and sub to equal out the sound from the bar. I made the purchase primarily for the Atmos feature. I had bought an Xbox One X and wanted the full experience. SOUND QUALITY: The sound isn't bad after you bump the sub to around 4 of 5 and the bass level to the same. It is probably a few steps up from the sound I get from the Samsung TV itself. VIDEO: It does pass the 4k through, but have noticed sometimes it lags. After it starts passing along the video input, the 4k is nice. SURROUND & ATMOS: Don't expect much. It is a sound bar. I cannot hear anything special when the signal is Atmos. Since the speakers are in the top of the sound bar and shooting towards the ceiling, I have wondered if I need to move the soundbar higher. The surround is what you would expect from a soundbar. It is okay, but not like having a system with multiple speakers surrounding you. FUNCTIONALITY: I have it connected to the ARC on the TV, but am using the HDMI output from the Xbox to the HDMI in. When I turn on the Xbox, TV and sound bar, it always defaults to either Optical input (which there is nothing connected there) or to the ARC input. I have to always cycle through the options to get to HDMI in. REMOTE: The remote is simple. It has no lights, so keep a flashlight nearby when watching in the dark. You learn pretty quick where the volume, mute and input buttons are located. I haven't used any of the other buttons yet. I would recommend just programming it into a Universal Remote if you have one. RECOMMENDATION: If you want a soundbar, it is pretty decent. It has some nice features like the 4k pass-through, bluetooth connectivity, etc. If you are looking for high-fidelity, theater quality sound... just move on. However, if you are looking for an affordable soundbar with decent stereo-like sound, this is not a bad choice.

The sound is fantastic. The sound bar is sleek and sexy. It is pretty long though. Set up is a breeze. Sub sounds awesome.

This soundbar’s audio quality is superb! When I watch a Dolby Atmos video, I feel every bass note. Super realistic.

It was very easy to set up and works well. It has a very good sound quality, the subwoofer also works well for the bass.

This LG Soundbar has some amazing sound. And the set up is so easy. Paired with an LG TV, the TV will sync with the soundbar so you can use the TV remote for both.

This soundbar is amazing for what it is. You can hear the atmospheric effect. There are other Dolby Atmos systems that have a better atmospheric surround sound but they have more speakers included in the system that are setup sound you. This soundbar sounds amazing and creates the effect with one soundbar and subwoofer. This is perfect for those wanting a clean minimal setup without compromising sound quality. Great sound and simple setup!

It works great most of the time but has a few bugs I feel like make it not an excellent soundbar. I have it connected with an LG OLED tv and it has issues with connections via ARC and when I am running the DVD player thru it to the tv. I purchased the highest quality HDMI cables ($80 each) and still having to unplug it and disconnect it from the tv frequently to get it to work correctly. Wish it had a reset button maybe that would work but I think LG needs to get the kinks worked out. I even contacted LG and they gave me all the excuses which pointed to something other than their tv or sounder being the problem so no help there.

Very good ATMOS soundbar Before setting it up I download the Owners manual, setup was easy then. Hope there will be a SW update to support DTS-X.

I heard about this new LG sound bar from my local Best Buy guy. I bought an older model LG sound bar and it was just loud but not clear. This is completely amazing with it's clear sound.
