It's supposed to be so no matter what angle you are at you should be able to have a good view of the TV. We however, don't really see much difference. I think it's more of a personal preference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A curved screen isn't better.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's not, in my opinion. It is supposed to be "more enveloping - to draw you into the picture". Problem is, if you sit slightly to the side, you can't see as much of the picture as a "flat" tv. Also - be aware that the curved screen likes to reflect ANY light in the room - which I find highly distracting. I prefer the flat screens - better picture from all angles - less light reflections, less distortion. Just my 2-cents.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.65 is big but it depends on your room size. There is a chart online that will show you if you have 65 inch TV that at 4-6 feet you will appreciate 4K, and 6-10 feet you will appreciate 1080p, etc. Curved screen gives the view equal distance to the screen from edge to edge when directly in front of it. So the image is not skewed by distance. Also, if you are viewing it from a side, the distant curved side is also closer to you.

The curved screen on the LG 65" Class (64.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 3D - 4K Ultra HD TV - Model # 65UF8500 does have some benefits based on the physics behind the concept. One of those benefits is that from a viewer's position, you get a wider field of view for a curved screen than a flat screen of the same size due to the fact that the edges of the screen move closer towards to you so the field of view increases. "That effect provides a greater sense of immersion in the display environment and can improve visual perception due to the increased area of peripheral vision achieved." (http://www.immersaview.com/resources/why-curved) Keep in mind that this is hardly a new concept. Every time that you have gone to watch a movie on the big movie screen, you've watched on a curved screen! It is not something you will see on smaller screens because it really doesn't make sense for smaller screens, hence why you see it on larger screens. There are many internet articles that discuss this hotly debated topic that you can google...IFV
