  • QuestionWhere is the gas connection? Where is the power cord connected? How long is the power cord? None of this is shown in the product images.

    Asked by Rufus.

    • Answer The gas connection, if you are looking at the dryer, from the rear, is at the lower-left of the dryer. You will need to purchase a gas hose kit from a home improvement store. The gas hose kit that I bought, had various adapter fittings to hook-up to the dryer and to the gas shut-off valve. The electric power cord is six feet long and it comes from the upper right part of the back of the dryer.

  • QuestionThe Energy Saver feature runs the dryer longer without heat, meaning that the load will take longer to dry. Please explain how that saves energy.

    Asked by Batuche.

    • Answer Running the LG - 7.3 Cu. Ft. Gas Dryer with Sensor Dry - White, Model # DLG6101W, on Energy Saver without heat or on a lower heat setting for a longer time is more energy-efficient than using high heat for a shorter period. Lower temperatures reduce energy consumption, making longer, cooler cycles or "Energy Saver" modes more effective at saving electricity, despite the extended runtime...^Ivan.

  • QuestionI have had this dryer for about 4 months now and have had several socks go missing. Where in the dryer do you recommend I check for missing socks? I have checked the lint trap and the socks are not in there.

    Asked by Lucy.

    • Answer As unlikely as it may be, if the lint filter for the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 7.3 cu. Ft. Rear Control Gas Dryer with Sensor Dry, Model # DLG6101W, is missing or not fully inserted, socks can fall into the exhaust housing. Small socks can pass through the felt seal at the front or back of the dryer drum, landing on the heating element or in the casing. Socks can cling to the inside of pant legs, sweaters, or fitted sheets, often falling out when the garment is worn or hung up later, and in very rare cases, socks can work their way into the motor or drum pulleys. You should use a mesh bag for the socks when drying them to prevent them from getting lost in the dryer...^Ivan.

  • QuestionWe just had this dryer installed and the "flo sense" light came on and the dyer was stopping after less than 10 min. So, we had our duct people come and clean out the dryer vent. That is now all clear and the same thing is happening.

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer How long is your vent system, and are you using 90° elbows for it? LG's FlowSense™ Duct Clogging Indicator for the Energy Star® Certified LG 7.3 cu. Ft. Rear Control Gas Dryer with Sensor Dry, Model # DLG6101W, also indicates issues related to the length and configuration of the ducting, not just clogs. The system is designed to detect restricted airflow, and a vent system that is too long, or has too many bends/elbows, causes significant backpressure that triggers the FlowSense™ warning. FlowSense™ triggers on "D80" (80% restricted), "D90" (90% restricted), or "D95" (95% restricted) codes when air cannot flow properly, which is frequently caused by excessively long, kinking, or crushed ducting. But even if a vent is clean, if the pipe run is too long, it can slow the airflow enough to activate the sensor. The system can detect when the ducting is too complex, such as having too many 90-degree turns. If you are still receiving a FlowSense™ alert after cleaning the vent, you can remove the venting from the back of the dryer entirely and run a short test cycle. If the error does not appear, the issue can be confirmed as being a restriction in your home's venting (length/bends/clog)...^Ivan.

  • QuestionJust purchased this dryer; cannot get it to dry heated; how do I get the " cool" indicator to go off? Is there a u tube video for this

    Asked by Noots.

    • Answer Hello there, Noots. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG Gas Dryer, model DLG7001W. We understand your inquiry about the dryer not heating and how to turn off the "Cool" indicator. It sounds like your dryer may be set to a no-heat or air-dry cycle. The "Cool" indicator usually illuminates when a manual Air Dry or Freshen Up cycle is selected, as these cycles use unheated air. To get heated drying, please select a different cycle, such as Normal, Heavy Duty, or Perm. Press, and ensure the Temperature setting is set to High, Medium, or Low, and not the Air Dry/Cool option. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-7-3-cu-ft-gas-dryer-with-sensor-dry-white/JJ8VPZ6898 If you have any further questions about operating your new dryer or need more detailed troubleshooting steps, please contact us on [email protected], and our team will be more than happy to assist you. —Renzo

  • QuestionWould this work with a 5.3 cubic foot washer, or is the washer too large for it? (The "matching dryer model number" to the washer in question is DLG7401WE, which is also 7.3 cubic feet, but maybe there's some aspect of the stupidly more expensive dryer.)

    Asked by 4to25CharacterLimit.

    • Answer Hi there. Thank you for reaching out with your inquiry regarding your LG DLG6101W gas dryer and a 5.3 cubic foot washer. We understand your situation and are here to help clarify this for you. The DLG6101W, with its 7.3 cu.ft. capacity, is engineered to perform efficiently with a range of washer sizes, including a 5.3 cubic foot washer. Although there is a matching model like the DLG7401WE that pairs with a 5.3 cubic foot washer, the DLG6101W is designed to handle the drying needs effectively when used in accordance with the recommended load guidelines. As a troubleshooting step, we suggest checking that your washer’s load sizes and installation parameters align with the guidelines provided in your product manuals to ensure optimal drying performance. https://www.lg.com/us/washers-dryers/lg-dlg6101w-gas-dryer#pdp_specs If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions with you. —Renzo
