As unlikely as it may be, if the lint filter for the ENERGY STAR® Certified LG 7.3 cu. Ft. Rear Control Gas Dryer with Sensor Dry, Model # DLG6101W, is missing or not fully inserted, socks can fall into the exhaust housing. Small socks can pass through the felt seal at the front or back of the dryer drum, landing on the heating element or in the casing. Socks can cling to the inside of pant legs, sweaters, or fitted sheets, often falling out when the garment is worn or hung up later, and in very rare cases, socks can work their way into the motor or drum pulleys. You should use a mesh bag for the socks when drying them to prevent them from getting lost in the dryer...^Ivan.
