When considering the depth realize that you have the vent pipe coming out the back which depending on how its connected may require additional room. My dryer is around the 29 1/2 but I have to have it sit out about another 2 inches to properly connect the vent pipe in the back. I am using a flexible pipe to connect the dryer to the vent pipe in the wall and they are not at the exact same height so the flexible pipe needs space to make them connect.

Recommended clearances should be considered for the following reasons: • Additional clearances should be considered for ease of installation and servicing. • Additional clearances might be required for wall, door and floor moldings. • Additional clearances should be considered on all sides of the dryer to reduce noise transfer. For closet installation, with a door, minimum ventilation openings in the top and bottom of the door are required. Louvered doors with equivalent ventilation openings are acceptable. •Companion appliance spacing should also be considered. ^Daphane
