It plugs into a normal outlet. It comes with the three prong as well just Incase your home has the older outlets. *you have to buy this separately but it comes in a pack. It

Electric Dryers don't come with an attached power cord and they have to be plugged into a 240 VAC, 60Hz grounded outlet which can either be a 3-pronged or 4-pronged outlet depending on what you local building codes are or in their absence, according to the latest edition of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.
