Yes I do that for my printer that is upstairs right next to the range extender.

However, you can achieve this setup by disabling the SSID Broadcast and just make sure that your range extender's setting is not the same with your router. In this way, the extended network will be hidden, buy you can still use the wired connection of the device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just dont give out the password to the extension, when you set it up make it a different password than the primary internet connection, plug your 4 devices in with ethernet cables and don't give out the password .
