Link sys does it again
||Posted .Solid piece of equipment. I needed it for the garage because I am in there working on my car and my iPad couldn't receive a strong enough signal from the living room. Now I have this in there it seems the internet is faster on the ipad in the garage than in the house. I know this sounds crazy but this device is amazing.

This thing really works!
||Posted .My wireless router is the Linksys brand; the BestBuy in-store sales associate suggested that it would probably be best to match brands for the router and the range extender. I think that he was correct on that call. I needed the extender because a big 'ole refrigerator is directly in the path of signal from my wireless router to my laptop computer. This caused the signal to 'come and go.' The extender is placed so that the wireless signal to its antennae is not blocked by the refrigerator; the laptop sits about 18-in. from the extender. With the extender I have had a 100% non-interrupted wireless signal. This works great! (And Best Buy guaranteed that it would do the job.)

Excellent Extender
||Posted .This is an excellent extender. I have a Peloton bike, which an excellent stationary bike, but it drops internet all too often. I I bought the extender, mounted it on the bike and made the bike think it's connected by ethernet by plugging the bike directly into the extender I mounted on the bike. Now it never drops and all I have to do his bet on my bad motor scooter and ride. I mean my bad Peloton....

Small Extender, Major Speed Boost
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.I didn't realize how much of a dead zone my room was until I speed tested with and without this WiFi extender. The setup is easy, and I get up to 4 Ethernet connections to this single device. I'm thankful for my investment.

Great device
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Connected great to the internet. Would not recommend being more then 40-50ft apart from main router. (Yes I tested distance) also hides really well. Only downfall is that I could not get the 2g connected for some reason.

AC1200 Wi-Fi Range Extender Round-UpThough the brand changed hands a couple of times in the last decade, Linksys is a recognizable name in the home networking market, particularly in the wireless segment. Its RE6500, the smallest range extender of the four we're reviewing, is a

Q: QuestionI have a Linksys AC1200 router.I do not have a Wi-Fi signal in my basement. Is it best to plug the extender into my router or locate the extender in the basement room where I want the Wi-Fi signal?
Asked by Paul J..
- A:Answer If there is no current Wi-Fi, plug it in. If there is Wi-Fi but the signal is just weak in the basement, this unit will probably "see" the other Wi-Fi router's weak signal . If it does, you will have a strong Wi-Fi presence there from now on. If the Wi-Fi signal in the basement is too weak, try moving this device directly under your other router & elevate it near that other unit's location to improve the signal. You can also download a Mobile App called "Wi-Fi Analytics", which will give you real-time strength measurements as you walk around to best find your "sweet-spot" for this repeater. Good Luck!

Q: Questiondoes this work with a ps4? also, why does the light keep flashing orange?
Asked by tyler.
- A:Answer Hi, tyler. Your PS4 will work with the Linksys RE6500. Also, if the LED is blinking orange/amber, then it means that the extender cannot establish a connection or encounters a problem.
