Yes, it does connect wirelessly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Does not need to be hard wired to the router. I plugged mine in and used my cell phone to connect it to my home network. Instructions on the card provided are pretty easy to follow. Fairly quick setup as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Can do both, they have great Tech support, they will help you..
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No wire is needed to connect. This device connects via wireless and gets an IP from your DHCP scope. The instructions are very good if you follow them and you might have to reboot a couple of times to make sure the connection works.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It picks up the existing WiFi signal and retransmits it. No hardwiring required. It does have ethernet port to connect devices if you want.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As previous answered stated, the extender does NOT need to be hardwired to the router. Place the extender where you can get good signal strength (70%-80% is a good recommendation). Get an extender that matches you routers capabilities (Ex dual band if router supports dual band). I have a router that supported 2.5 and 5 GHZ bands. My extender matches those capabilities - as a result I get a combined signal strength that is stronger with better signal quality over a better distance. Setup is usually fairly easy depending on the make and model you choose. If setup does not start automatically, you can usually access by selecting the device in your network section of windows explorer. Just MAKE SURE you change the password from default after initial setup. You do NOT want someone to access the router or extender via default passwords. If you do not see the device in your network section, you should be able to access via the browser and default IP address for your device. MOST use 192.168.1.1 (type this is browser). HOWEVER, you might have to initially plug extender into a computer to access the setup this way if the extender IP address is the same as the routers IP address. OR you can change the router's default IP address (ex 192.168.2.1) and there should be no problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No this does not need to be hard wired. You simply need to place this in a location where your signal is still strong (70-80% signal strength) and you should not have any issues connecting to your network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your wireless router is not connected to your WIFI Extender via any Ethernet plugin. The extender basically enhances (extends) the WIFI signal over a longer distance. I use my wireless extender on the other side of drywall complete with various electrical wiring, placed near enough to my media players, WIFI flat-screen, and home theatre in the next room over so that I can use the Ethernet ports to plug directly into the home theatre and bluray player,( since they are not WIFI I use a wired connection) while the media players simply run right off my home network connected by hdmi to the home theatre as is the bluray player and 80" flat- screen. and it all works quite smoothly, no buffering, just ultra clean 1080p digital+ enjoyment. Once I return home my smart phone automatically connects to my home WIFI also. If I had a gaming system I'd connect it up too, and since you would probably NEVER use all these devices at the same time, there is no signal loss, it is an awesome Home Entertainment System. Setup is easy and very straightforward. Just follow the directions and you'll be in like flint. It is really a great product. FIVE STARS * * * * * peace man, I hope that helps you out
