Solid piece of equipment. I needed it for the garage because I am in there working on my car and my iPad couldn't receive a strong enough signal from the living room. Now I have this in there it seems the internet is faster on the ipad in the garage than in the house. I know this sounds crazy but this device is amazing.

My wireless router is the Linksys brand; the BestBuy in-store sales associate suggested that it would probably be best to match brands for the router and the range extender. I think that he was correct on that call. I needed the extender because a big 'ole refrigerator is directly in the path of signal from my wireless router to my laptop computer. This caused the signal to 'come and go.' The extender is placed so that the wireless signal to its antennae is not blocked by the refrigerator; the laptop sits about 18-in. from the extender. With the extender I have had a 100% non-interrupted wireless signal. This works great! (And Best Buy guaranteed that it would do the job.)

I don't love this product. It helped, sure. But I feel like it could've done a better job. If you have to use it, go for it. I had better luck with this one than with my last range extenders, so there is that.

I didn't realize how much of a dead zone my room was until I speed tested with and without this WiFi extender. The setup is easy, and I get up to 4 Ethernet connections to this single device. I'm thankful for my investment.

This is an excellent extender. I have a Peloton bike, which an excellent stationary bike, but it drops internet all too often. I I bought the extender, mounted it on the bike and made the bike think it's connected by ethernet by plugging the bike directly into the extender I mounted on the bike. Now it never drops and all I have to do his bet on my bad motor scooter and ride. I mean my bad Peloton....

Excellent extender. I bought this so I could plug in an internet phone in my home office and it works perfectly. Although when I plug my laptop computer in, the speed is 1/4 the speed I get directly from my router which is over 1000 feet away. Really I just needed a way to get my internet phone plugged in. So it works

I bought this for my home, my house is made out of brick single level that's over 2,000sqft. So my wireless Internet didn't work really well in much of the rooms couldn't even get it in one end of the house. I bought the extender and it works really really well. Plus setting it up was really easy and didn't take much time at all. I highly recommend it. It's not bulky and has a sleek style too.

I live in a house on a slope with 3 levels. The router is on the top floor, and my workshop and desk in in the basement. So there are 2 floors and many walls between my pc, and the router, which resulted in a very weak signal, buffering, and constant drops. It didn't help that the house was built in 1911, and has lath & plaster walls. I tried 3 other extenders that plugged directly into the wall sockets, but none worked so I returned them. The Linksys was easy to setup. Connected to my computer with the ethernet cable that came with it, and before I had time to figure out what to do next, an installation screen popped up, and I followed the instructions. To make it simple I used the same password as the router. Then I relocated the extender to a good halfway point, and went downstairs to check the signal. This extender is kicking some serious butt. Very strong signal with fast upload & download speeds. Using a wall wart power adapter allows the extender to be moved around, which also helps. Do not be fooled by the pictures where it looks big. It's actually quite small. I do a lot of photography, and now I can sync with the cloud really fast. I am a happy camper.

Setup process was quite simple, and the companion service to locate the device given the signal strength is very straightforward. It does, however, renews the ip and MAC address sporadically, which leads to connection loses while streaming video or music. Working a few changes in the configuration, the device works quite well. A good device for house use.

My mother has a guest house, about 100' from her house. When I'm visiting, I stay in the guest house, which doesn't have internet service. Without the Linksys extender, WiFi reception from the main house, was spotty at best. When I installed the extender, which was an easy process, not only did I have a fullscale signal, but my some was actually able to play online video games.

I purchased this in hopes it will boost my Dropcam security camera as it is on the opposite end of my house. Didn't really work for that but turns out its because our internet speed is too slow. But as an extender this works really well. We now have faster and more stable internet access well into our patio and yard where we didnt before. We can now stream music in theae areas. I would recommend this as an extender but dont expect it to boost speeds...

Seems to work great does what it's supposed to I think our equipment downstairs that it's connecting to might be outdated Verizon recently sent us a notice saying that they need to replace the equipment when they wouldn't do it the other year for us but occasionally it needs to be reset I unplug it and plug it back in and it reconnects to the router downstairs we also get some interference from the microwave internet cuts out whenever somebody's using the microwave.

I have had unit this for a few months now and have to constantly reset both my router and this unit as it causes my router to drop internet connectivity. Before this unit was added I never had any issues with my router (Linksys AC1900) but I did have coverage issues on the 5ghz band (which I use mainly for my phone, tablet, & TV). I added this hoping to solve this issue. While I have connectivity it works great, with amazing speeds and coverage. But then either the extender drops connection to the router or the router drops the connection to the modem. When using a wired connection for my ps4 it will work for all of 5 minutes before my ps4 drops the connection to the extender. I am quite familiar with networking and the relative equipment so I have played with all the settings to try to correct the problem including firmware checks and location, but nothing seems to fix the issue. I have been a firm Linksys fan for the better part 10 years but this is the first time I've encountered any issues like this.

      Hi Barry,

Your feedback means a lot to us and we would like to offer our assistance so you may have a stable extended Wi-Fi connection. Here are the possible solutions that you may do:

      * Place it in an area where there is still good connection from the router.
      * Use a handheld device (phone or tablet) to check for your router's signal strength. Once you can find a place where there is still 2-3 bars signal, then that's the perfect location for your extender.
      * Set your router to use a permanent wireless channel to avoid possible interference in your network. Download the Wifi AnalyzerApp. It helps you to find a less crowded channel for your wireless router.
*Update or re-flash the firmware. Reset and reconfigure it afterwards.

If the connection will not improve, you can send us an email at [email protected] with your contact details, location, and the link to this review so that we can assist you further.
