Mine was etched on the back below the gray stickers. It was very small text etched into the plastic and very hard to see.

There is a grey sticker on the bottom of the router that tells the version code of your router. download the firmware for your version code from linksys.com

Look on the box and find the model number. The hardware version will be listed in the lower right-hand corner of that box with a v in front of it
