I used one of these for awhile and discovered some things. TECHNICALLY, this device will boost the signal (make it stronger) because it extends your current signal to reach hard to reach devices. So , in that respect, it extends and increases the signal; however your initial signal strength does not increase. It's a misnomer and often confusing. By extending the initial signal , you are making it stronger.
