“Do the nodes have the usual Linksys browser interface? (Connect to computer ethernet port.) Can I manually connect the nodes rather than push button / app?”

• I haven’t been able to find any way to manually setup the nodes. You have to use their garbage app. However, I had an older model and you have to set it up wirelessly first before you can hardwire the child nodes to it.
