Hi, rob. Yes, the Velop nodes can be connected with ethernet cables. Wiring nodes together can increase the range and speed of your Velop system and reduce the risk of wireless interference.

I would start with three. Assuming you have your interior hard wired you can hardwire each satellite. The back has four (4) Ethernet ports and on internet (Ethernet) port. I was able to use three (3) to cover my 6500ft house and pool area without issues. I have tried Netgear Orbi and gaming mesh systems. This one blows Netgear out of the water..!
